Starting from November 30th, 2024, Mini Electric Two Wheel Vehicle Must Be Registered Fines Up to NT$3,600!

From November 30th, 2024, all Mini Electric Two Wheel Vehicle (including those already in use) must complete the registration process. Failure to do so after the deadline will result in a fine ranging from NT$1,200 to NT$3,600.

Attention! If you purchase an Mini Electric Two Wheel Vehicle that has not passed inspection and take it on the road, the vehicle may be confiscated. Be sure to confirm the vehicle's compliance to avoid fines for violations.

How to Register?Please prepare the following documents and visit the transportation authority to complete the registration process:

  • Original ID proof of the vehicle owner
  • Seal
  • Manufacturer's certificate
  • Purchase invoice
  • Mandatory vehicle liability insurance certificate (valid for more than 30 days)
  • NT$450 registration fee
